Abstract

This paper proposes an interpretation between symptom and loss, between the scission of the gaze and the dialectical movement of images according Georges Didi-Huberman. Rescuing some of the theoretical pillars of this French philosopher and historian of art (Warburg, Carl Einstein, Freud, Lacan), the paper will versify in something that is always lost when looking at an image (a body, an object) and is looked by it in the same movement (dialectic, symptomatic). In what we see always there is something that looks at us, it challenges us without being able to determine how it does it.
