Resumo
O objetivo deste texto é apresentar pesquisa parcial sobre a tentativa de comunicação e constituição do espaço pré-político de conversação de um grupo de idosos de contexto popular urbano. Em um primeiro sentido, através da combinação metodológica do grupo de discussão com o grupo focal, pretendeu-se estimular na comunidade os signos da solidariedade e da cooperação, como elementos fundamentais que qualificam a conversa na direção de delinear o pré-político. Em um segundo sentido, a pesquisa buscou observar e problematizar o uso da rede social whatsapp entre os idosos. Há indícios de uma falta de domínio dos novos dispositivos informacionais por parte deste público, bem como dificuldade de adaptação às mudanças periódicas das tecnologias, além da pouca familiaridade com aplicativos. A hipótese nesta fase da inserção da mídia estaria na possibilidade da rede social em habilitar ou não a cooperação para a circulação dos signos acionados nas conversações presenciais. Quais os sentidos na circulação produzida na rede social? Há como identificar a circulação de temas afins à solidariedade, educação, aprendizagem e lazeres ou|e a circulação de outros elementos debilitam os signos da cooperação e da sociabilidade encontrados nas conversações presenciais? As atividades de pesquisa em comunicação foram desenvolvidas dentro das ações do Programa de Extensão Universitária chamado de “Ações para o Envelhecimento Ativo”, promovido pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV). Trabalhou-se inicialmente com o microssocial de uma comunidade de idosos da cidade de Ponte Nova, Minas Gerais. Recentemente o município recebeu o título de primeira cidade do Estado “Amiga do Idoso”, concedido pela Secretaria Nacional do Idoso do Ministério da Cidadania. Após estes acontecimentos, a pesquisa se ampliou para o macrossocial, com perspectiva de atender a uma amostra representativa do universo de idosos da cidade.
Abstract
The purpose of this text is to present a partial research about the attempt to communicate and the constitution of the pre-political space of conversation of a group of elderly people of urban popular context. In a first sense, through the methodological combination of the discussion group with the focus group, it was intended to stimulate in the community the signs of solidarity and cooperation, as fundamental elements that qualify the conversation in the direction of delineating the pre-political. In a second sense, the research sought to observe and problematize the use of whatsapp social network among the elderly. There is evidence of a lack of mastery of the new information devices by this public, as well as difficulty adapting to the periodic changes of the technologies, as well as the lack of familiarity with applications. The hypothesis at this stage of the insertion of the media would be in the possibility of the social network to enable or not the cooperation for the circulation of the signs activated in the face-to-face talks. What are the meanings in the circulation produced in the social network? Is there a way to identify the circulation of themes related to solidarity, education, learning and leisure, or does the circulation of other elements weaken the signs of cooperation and sociability encountered in the face-to-face talks? Communication research activities were developed within the actions of the University Extension Program ""Actions for Active Aging"" of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). It was initially worked with the micro-social of an elderly community of the city of Ponte Nova, Minas Gerais. Recently the municipality received the title of first city of the State to receive the title of ""Friendly City of the Elderly"", granted by the Ministry of Citizenship. After these events, the research expanded to the macrossocial, with the prospect of attending a representative sample of the universe of the elderly in the city.
